We are happy to announce that we have successfully migrated our Helm Windows Database/Secondary DNS server to 2 x Intel Xeon Quad Core (8 Cores) with 4 GB RAM.

MS SQL Server
-----------------
We have upgraded MS SQL server from 2000 to MS SQL 2005 Enterprise. All the existing databases are already upgraded and migrated. You MUST change the hostname in your scripts from 72.18.136.133 to mssql.server . If you have created ODBC DSN than re-create it with Hostname/servername as mssql.server . MS SQL is running on default 1433 port. If you want to connect to our Database server remotely using Enterprise Manager/Query Analyser etc. than use new server IP i.e. 66.63.181.66 . Please note that MS SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager will not be able to connect to the database server as it is now version 2005. Instead of this use MS SQL Studio Express which can be downloaded from Microsoft website for free.

MySQL Server
-----------------
We have upgraded MySQL version from 4.x to MySQL 5.x. All the existing databases are already upgraded and migrated. You MUST change the hostname in your scripts from localhost or server IP to mysql.server . If you have created MySQL ODBC DSN than re-create it with Hostname/servername as mysql.server . MySQL is running on 66.63.181.66 on default 3306 port.
