• Have all the contacts, viz., technical, billing and administrative, in your name.
• Manage and transfer your domain to any name servers online from our web-based interface.

• Just enter the Domain Name without the extension and select extension from combo box.
• Please do not use the "www" in the name. "www" is not part of the domain name, since it is a host in the domain.
• Domain names are alpha-numeric and may use a - (dash).The dash cannot be at the beginning or end of a domain name.
• Domain names may be up to 63 characters total(including the suffix).
• Confirmation regarding registering of Domain Names in your name will take 2-3 days from the date on which we receive the payment from you.
• Internationally Domain Name registration is on a First-come-first-serve basis.We will not be responsible for the availability of the Domain Name in the 2-3 days that it can take to register a Domain Name.
• In between the time we receive your email request and by the time the payment is made, if the domain is registered by some other person/organization, Webcom Systems will not be responsible in any way for the non-availability thereafter. The money you send will be refunded in case you do not need to register another Domain with us.

AVAILABLE DOMAIN NAMES:

Unlimited registrations is available in the following zones. Registration will be available freely to all parties worldwide, and there are no nexus or other qualifications:

• .in co.in net.in org.in firm.in gen.in (general)
• ind.in (individuals)

The following zones are reserved for use by qualified organizations in India.

• ac.in (Academic) res.in (Indian research institutes) gov.in (Indian government)
• mil.in (Indian Military)

GENERAL DOMAIN REGISTRATION POLICIES (.in domains)

• Term: domain names may be registered for a minimum of one (1) year, and a maximum of five (5) years.
• Autorenewal:Domains automatically renew at the end of their term (the expiration date).
• .IN domain names may be between 3 and 63 characters in length.
• Only letters, digits, and hyphens will be accepted in a domain name. Names cannot begin or end with hyphens.
• Contact information: Registrants must provide true, accurate contact information. The following contact types are required: Registrant, Administrative, Technical, Billing. As per standing policy, the contact data will displayed in the .IN WHOIS, except for the Billing contact data, which is not displayed.
• Nameservers: to register a .IN domain, the registrant does not need to provide nameservers. In order to appear in the zone file and resolve on the Internet, at least one (1) valid nameserver must be associated with the domain name. The use of at least two valid nameservers is highly recommended.
• Internationalized domain names (IDNs): The registry plans to accept IDN registrations in the future, including IDN registrations in Hindi, Tamil, and other Indian languages. Until further announcements, no applications for domain names in internationalized script (including diacritical marks) shall be accepted. Domains with hyphens in the third and fourth positions will be rejected.
• The registry has the authority to deny or suspend a registration if it conflicts with the sovereign national interest or public order.

The government has reserved a list of names for government and registry use.

Register Your .IN Domain

Now anyone who wants to register a .IN domain name is allowed to. Registration is also open to parties inside and outside of India, without restriction. For the first time, domains are available at the second level -- easy-to-use and easy-to-remember domains such as "mydomain.in". Registration at the third level also open.
